Welcome to Ndiaye family
Dance Holiday Senegal
Dance holiday with family Ndiaye 30 December-10 January 2024 Dakar Senegal In short We provide a residence in the lively city of Dakar, walking distance from the beach, from were we explore dance, music and senegalese culture and hospitality. We will dance from Mondays to Fridays on the beach for 2,5 hours a day with live percussion by master drummers and with different teachers. We explore different rythms of Sabar, their fysical aspects and the way they are culturally inbedded. We build choreographies and focus on how to perform a solo within the framework provided by the rhytm. We offer typical Senegalese meals three times a day provided by our own favorite cook: Moussa’s nice Astou Cisse. The programme includes a trip to one of the biggest ballets in town: Waato Siita and a trip to the Pink Lake which is known for its healing qualities. We will offer (optional) activities such as drum classes and a visit to the famous Isle de Goree.
